Rig Check

Ok…so I’m stupid. Thats ok…I’ve come to grips with it.

Here are some facts. I haven’t played guitar..seriously for over a month. It hasn’t been a priority, and I’ve been way busy with things around the house, around school..all around other things. With my musical life on hold for a few weeks, I’ve decided to be a little deliberate.

Tonight I literally dusted off the rig. I’ve been doing some woodworking in the garage…that coupled with the kids play/art area/bike rack there is not a whole lotta space in the garage right now. I haven’t turned it on as of yet. I’m waiting to get a few more things organized in the area before I get side tracked.

Anyhow…Heres my rig. Its the one that I’ve played for the last 8 1/2 years.

1999 Tom Anderson Drop top. A well built guitar. it playes well, but it is ready for a fret dress.

1999 Line6 Spider 1-10 with floorboard. An adequate amp. I really only sounds good at high volume. something that I was never able to really do in a church setting.

Custom “Eric Makes Music” 13 degree wedge. Special order

So now I invite you to check your rig.

Welcome to eric makes music

This is a page dedicated to my love and involvement in the music and the music industry. I have played some sort of musical instrument since the age of 9. and I spent 15 years in the musical instrument manufacturing sector. My love of music, and the tools to make music will both be fuel for this blog. I'll try to write one article a week featuring an instrument, artist, or other musical aspect. my hope is to create a place where ideas and opinions can be expressed, freely. I hope you enjoy, and come back often.
