So there I was…Stopped at a red light…my son in the back seat, and I’m on my way to pick up the girls from school. a very responsible moment.
Just moments before “I can’t drive 55″ came on the radio. I’m not a big Sammy Hagar fan, and I believe truly in my heart of hearts that he was a terrible replacement for David Lee Roth.
Back on Track…anyway, there I was, at the light…radio bastin…I’m beating the steering wheel…singing my heart out, then I start in on the air guitar. Meanwhile, my son, he’s in the back seat bobbin his head (apparently, he likes a good song too).
At that point a few thoughts came into my head:
- Hey, I’m 41…should I be acting like this?
- I got kids…maybe I should act my age.
- Look at this minivan. I can barely “Drive 55″
- Man this feels great
- I look great playing this air guitar
- D’oh! The people in that car are staring at me.
This is by far my most embarrassing moment in music. In fact, there was nothing to be embarrassed about. I’m sure everyone has been caught playing air guitar or the wheel as a drum set at one time or another….Right???
So what’s your most embarrassing musical moment?
