three questions…

My friend Sank reminded me today that it is the 50th anniversary of the deaths of Buddy Holly and Richie Valens this brought a few questions to mind

Here’s the premise:

If you could raise from the dead one Rock Star/Singer/Musician to do one last performance,

-Who would it be and why?

-Where would the performance be?

-What would the performance benifit? (i.e. your own satisfaction, a charity, or calibration)

My answer: Elvis Presley to sing at the dinner on Valentines Day for my wife and I

So what’s your answer?

  1. Keith Green, because I would want to know who he feels about the current crap (er crop) of CCM and praise/worship artists.

I’d like him to perform at MSG for as many unbelievers as possible, and this being Keith, it’d be free.

  2. James Honeyman Scott (pretenders) because he deserved another chance and I could tell him how much he meant to me, and a lot of others.

In a theater venue of his choosing.

The audience would be filled with the people whose lives were made a little better by his music and his friendship so that he could see that it was a good life.

  3. Probably Dimebag that way everyone can stop annoying me with their stories of “Man, if Dimebag was here…”

But honestly, I’m a huge Beatles fan, so Lennon should rise up to perform with Paul McCartney and any place of their choosing, just as long as it would alleviate some economic tension in America for only an hour.
